Singapore has put in effort to increase the salaries of low-income workers; it should do the same to increase the time they have to rest, said MP Louis Ng. He said the minimum annual leave entitlement of seven days is not enough and those who have it are likely to be lower-income workers whose jobs are labour-intensive and who have no access to flexi-work options.
