01:45 Min

Singaporeans who work in SMEs find that they have fewer opportunities to acquire new digital skills compared to their peers working in larger companies. This will impact their future career options, said MP Mariam Jaafar in Parliament on Friday (Mar 4). She asked what more the Government can do to encourage SMEs to reskill and upskill their employees now, in order to capture opportunities in the digital economy in a sustainable way. She also wanted to know how employees can go after those opportunities on their own.
