Committee of Supply 2022 debate, Day 3: Sharael Taha on flexible work arrangements for an inclusive workforce
With the increasing prevalence of flexible work arrangements, work-from-anywhere and flexible hours during the COVID-19 pandemic, can Singapore seize the opportunity to make its workforce more inclusive by making flexible arrangements a viable option for certain groups of workers? MP Sharael Taha identified them as seniors, those with special needs, back-to-work mothers as well as those with caregiving responsibilities. Speaking in Parliament on Friday (Mar 4), he said more of these individuals should be encouraged to join the workforce to realise their “latent potential”.
