Singapore needs to prepare its workforce for Industry 5.0 and beyond, evolving from a concentration on the digital experience of Industry 4.0 to one where humans are back in charge. Making the point in Parliament on Monday (Mar 4), MP Darryl David said this will mean developing a new educational framework to integrate Pre-Employment Training, which local educational institutions have traditionally focused on, with Continuing Education and Training. He asked how the Ministry of Education, SkillsFuture Singapore and Workforce Singapore might work together to “reconceptualise” the education landscape.
