Singapore has brought forward its target of achieving net-zero emissions to around 2050 and this will require an accelerated pace of transition. Making the point in Parliament on Monday (Mar 7), MP Jessica Tan asked what the Government is doing on the R&D front to grow industry capabilities to develop low-carbon solutions, and what support in investments it is making to support the growth of businesses in the green economy. She said businesses not only need to adopt more sustainable operations but also develop sustainability as a competitive edge.
