People usually associate sustainable projects with higher costs, but that is because they do not consider sustainable principles in project planning or building life-cycle cost, said MP Cheryl Chan in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 8). With the Government saying it is driving research and development in urban sustainability, Ms Chan wanted to know what progress has been made and how stakeholders will be encouraged to adopt solutions. She also asked how the Building and Construction Authority is supporting industry to effectively transition to a low-carbon built environment.
