Committee of Supply 2022 debate, Day 5: Henry Kwek on private assisted living options for seniors

With Singapore’s high housing density, it has the opportunity to create excellent age-in-place conditions, said MP Henry Kwek in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 8). He said a strong ecosystem of well-integrated, affordable and high-quality private assisted living and home-based healthcare services can be created, which will help minimise the costs associated with ageing. Mr Kwek wanted to know if the Ministry of National Development plans to guide or promote the development of private assisted living options for residents in both HDB and private estates.
