Committee of Supply 2022 debate, Day 6: Baey Yam Keng on cycling in large groups, emerging trends in active mobility
A trial will be conducted to provide dedicated cycling space for large groups of cyclists along West Camp Road in Seletar on Sunday mornings. This was revealed by Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Transport Baey Yam Keng in the House on Wednesday (Mar 9). He also said Singapore will stay ahead of emerging trends that could shape the active mobility landscape. For example, it will review the use of devices such as cargo bikes and trikes which have become popular overseas and are starting to enter the local market. Mr Baey said the Government will continue to strengthen engagement and education efforts to build a safe and gracious culture on paths and roads.
