00:53 Min

While immigration helps to moderate the impact of ageing and low birth rates in the population, it is not a "silver bullet" to tackle Singapore's longer-term demographic challenges, said MP Cheng Li Hui. Speaking in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 9), she said improving access to in-vitro fertilisation procedures, such as egg freezing, may help to tackle these challenges. She asked how the Government is assisting Singaporeans with total fertility health as part of their parenthood journey.
