Committee of Supply 2022 debate, Day 6: Leong Mun Wai on vaccination-differentiated measures
As Singapore moves to "living with COVID-19", it must review and streamline many of its “unwieldy” rules, said NCMP Leong Mun Wai. Speaking in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 9), he singled out the vaccination-differentiated measures as having brought “significant misery” to a number of Singaporeans who have valid personal reasons not to be jabbed. He urged the Government to relax its policies based on vaccination status. Instead, it should focus its resources on approving more therapeutics for general practitioners to treat patients and to deal with the surge in infections.
