The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of preventive health through vaccination, said MP Lim Wee Kiak in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 9). He added that while Singapore has a well-developed childhood immunisation programme, adult Singaporeans should be encouraged to get their immunisations updated periodically to protect themselves against diseases. He wanted to know why the adult vaccination schedule has not been given more limelight and asked if the Government can do more to promote it, and make it more comprehensive, accessible and affordable.
