The COVID-19 pandemic impacted sports participation on many levels, including the scaling down of mass participation events, said MP Darryl David in Parliament on Thursday (Mar 10). He asked the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth to share its strategy to bring back sports participation in the new normal, restore and re-invigorate national sports participation, increase access to sports facilities and re-introduce mass sports events in a safe manner. Turning to Team Singapore, he wanted to know how its athletes are progressing in their preparation for major games.
