Committee of Supply 2022 debate, Day 7: Masagos Zulkifli on future-ready Malay-Muslim community

07:19 Min

The Government will support the Malay-Muslim community in building relevant competencies for the new economy, as well as nurture future-ready asatizah or religious leaders who are capable and confident in providing sound and religious guidance in an ever-changing global landscape, "contextualised" to Singapore's multi-religious and multi-racial society. Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Masagos Zulkifli, who highlighted these priorities in Parliament on Thursday (Mar 10), stressed the need for the community to embrace lifelong learning, in partnership with agencies like MENDAKI and the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS), as well as Malay-Muslim organisations.
