01:49 Min

In-house counsels form a significant and growing part of Singapore's legal fraternity, having outstripped the number of lawyers in practice, said MP Patrick Tay in Parliament on Friday (Feb 27). He called on the Ministry of Law to provide more support and funding for their training and professional development needs through the Singapore Corporate Counsel Association. He made a similar appeal for paralegals so that they can improve their competencies, standards and career progression.
