What steps are being taken by the police to combat cybercrime? Are the existing measures enough? MP Vikram Nair raised these questions in Parliament on Monday (Feb 27). Citing the "staggering" cybercrime statistics in the last two years, he asked if the police believe that further steps need to be taken to better educate the public, as well as to catch and prosecute the perpetrators. He also wanted to know if there has been any success in catching the perpetrators and recovering the assets for victims in cases where the perpetrators are abroad.
