Committee of Supply 2023 debate, Day 2: Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim on Singapore-Middle East relations
The Middle East/Gulf countries are important for Singapore, not in only in terms of trade but also because they are Islamic countries, said MP Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim. Speaking in Parliament on Monday (Feb 27), he wanted to know how Singapore is looking to build on its growing ties with the Gulf countries. He also wanted to know how Singapore can assist in alleviating Palestinian-Israeli tensions in the Middle East, either on its own or together with other Gulf countries.
