As Singapore emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses require more manpower to operate at higher levels, said MP Jessica Tan. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Feb 28), she pointed out that some businesses have flagged that they are unable to fill positions for skilled jobs. Ms Tan said widespread operational constraints will impact industry output, as well as Singapore's attractiveness to foreign investments and position on the global value chain. She wanted to know how the Government will help businesses find the appropriate talent to ensure consistent operations.
