Committee of Supply 2023 debate, Day 3: Rahayu Mahzam on enhancing support for students with special educational needs
It is imperative that Singapore's education system adequately equips all children, including those with special educational needs (SEN), with the necessary life skills and prepare them for future challenges, said Senior Parliamentary Secretary Rahayu Mahzam. Speaking in Parliament on Tuesday (Feb 28), she wanted to know how the Ministry of Education can ensure that students with SEN are adequately stretched to reach their full potential. She also wanted to understand what lies on the horizon for such students, and if there is a plan as to which sectors in the future students with SEN could possibly enter and excel in.
