Committee of Supply 2023 debate, Day 3: Sharael Taha on acquiring relevant skillsets in school
Industries value students who acquire relevant skills in school and are ready to be productive when they join the workforce, said MP Sharael Taha in Parliament on Tuesday (Feb 28). He said with the rapid evolution of technology, schools have to be well-connected to industries and nimble enough to make frequent tweaks to their syllabus. He asked how the Ministry of Education can better facilitate collaboration between schools and industry partners to help students gain an even deeper appreciation of the skills and competencies needed in the future workplace.
