Committee of Supply 2023 debate, Day 3: Wan Rizal on students’ mental well-being
In Parliament on Tuesday (Feb 28), MP Wan Rizal asked the Ministry of Education for an update on its efforts to promote and support the mental well-being of students in schools and Institutes of Higher Learning. He said that as an educator, he has seen first-hand how this can impact their learning engagement and ability to achieve their full potential. He said students today face a unique set of challenges including rapid technological advancements, economic uncertainty, a dynamic job landscape and complex social and personal pressures such as those arising from the use of social media.
