Committee of Supply 2023 debate, Day 4: Abdul Samad Abdul Wahab on retirement adequacy
In Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 1), NMP Abdul Samad Abdul Wahab appealed to Government-linked and Temasek-linked companies that are doing well to continue with the 17 per cent employers’ CPF contribution for workers when they reach the age of 55. He also asked how many Singaporeans reached the Basic, Full and Enhanced Retirement Sums as at end of last year, and how many took up the Enhanced Sum on reaching age 55.
