In Parliament on Friday (Mar 3), MP Ang Wei Neng raised concerns that a new generation is getting hooked on nicotine. He pointed out that vaping appears to be growing in popularity among young people, with reports of primary school pupils getting caught. He urged the Health Sciences Authority to work with schools and other agencies to step up enforcement efforts. He suggested that the fine quantum for the purchase, usage or ownership of electronic vapes be doubled.
