Society will “pay a high price” if there is no widespread adoption of Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA), said MP Henry Kwek in Parliament on Friday (Mar 3). He asked the Social and Family Development Minister to share progress of the new LPA online portal and how much it has spurred adoption; protocols to ensure that abuse by donees can be proactively identified and minimised; and how the ministry can work with other Government agencies and the media to encourage more Singaporeans to do their LPAs.
