Committee of Supply 2023 debate, Day 6: Lim Wee Kiak on National Electronic Health Record

02:25 Min

The National Electronic Health Record (NEHR) collects patients' health records across different healthcare providers and platforms. This enables authorised healthcare professionals to have a longitudinal view of a patient's medical history and develop a holistic care plan. As of April 2022, all polyclinics and almost 60 per cent of private medical clinics have access to NEHR. In Parliament on Friday (Mar 3), MP Lim Wee Kiak asked what the Ministry of Health is doing to get all private healthcare clinics to sign up with NEHR and how their concerns about using the system can be addressed. He also wanted to know what digital platform Healthier SG will be using and whether it will be integrated with HealthHub and Healthy 365 into a single app.
