Committee of Supply 2023 debate, Day 6: Seah Kian Peng on outcomes of KidSTART
At Singapore's current stage of development, no child should fear going hungry or missing out on school, especially preschool. MP Seah Kian Peng said this in Parliament on Friday (Mar 3) and asked about the KidSTART programme which was set up to help children from low-income families get a good start in life. It is currently supporting 5,000 children. Mr Seah asked if this is the anticipated number or if there are more children who have not yet accessed its resources. He also asked for data on how children under the programme have fared since it was launched in 2016.
