Committee of Supply 2024 debate, Day 2: Rachel Ong on war in Gaza
Many Singaporeans are distressed by the humanitarian situation in Gaza as the Israel-Hamas war rages on, said MP Rachel Ong. She noted that Singapore has consistently voted in favour of United Nations resolutions calling for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire and the Government has worked with like-minded partners to provide humanitarian assistance. In Parliament on Thursday (Feb 29), she asked what else Singapore can do to address the ongoing conflict.
