Committee of Supply 2024 debate, Day 2: Sylvia Lim on bolstering and reforming ASEAN
In Parliament on Thursday (Feb 29), MP Sylvia Lim asked how the Government is working with fellow ASEAN members to strengthen, update and reform ASEAN to make sure it continues to serve the collective needs moving forward. She also wanted to know how the concept of ASEAN centrality can be made more concrete such that it has continued ability to set regional agendas and perhaps even bargain collectively. She also asked what are the plans to collaborate with other regional partners to augment the work of ASEAN in defence of Singapore's interests.
