Finding ways to help businesses become more competitive in the long run, through a new Alliance for Action (AfA) between the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Singapore Business Federation. Enhancing support for companies to become more sustainable and prepare for sustainability reporting. Driving transformation in the marine and offshore engineering industry with a S$100 million support package over the next five years. These were some measures detailed by Minister of State for Trade and Industry Low Yen Ling in Parliament on Friday (Mar 1), as she spoke on how the Government is ramping up support for companies to transform and thrive. She said there are “encouraging signs” of growing business transformation in the heartlands. She announced a new grant offering up to S$10,000 in funding for heartland enterprises to organise placemaking projects. Two heartland rejuvenation projects will also be piloted in Bukit Gombak and Tampines West.
