Committee of Supply 2024 debate, Day 3: Neil Parekh Nimil Rajnikant on RIE2025

With the announcement of additional investments to the Research, Innovation and Enterprise (RIE) 2025 Plan in Budget 2024, NMP Neil Parekh Nimil Rajnikant asked the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) if it could share some of the research and development (R&D) initiatives in sectors that the ministry will focus on to grow the economy. Speaking in Parliament on Friday (Mar 1), he also wanted to know how MTI plans to leverage R&D to tap into promising growth sectors and facilitate Singapore's transition to a low-carbon economy.
