Committee of Supply 2024 debate, Day 3: Pritam Singh on funding for SPH Media Trust
Given the provision of taxpayer funding for SPH Media Trust (SMT), there is considerable public interest in how Singaporeans will be better served by the mainstream media in Singapore, said Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh. Speaking in Parliament on Friday (Mar 1), he wanted to know what the key performance indicators are for SMT and how it is faring. He also wanted to know if the Ministry of Communications and Information has found SMT’s half-yearly update satisfactory.
