00:57 Min

A First World country like Singapore can “certainly do better” when it comes to cleanliness, said MP Murali Pillai in Parliament on Monday (Mar 4). He said there are often “irresponsible cases” of littering and dumping in HDB estates, with residents expecting cleaners to take care of the problem. He asked how the message of cleanliness as a joint responsibility can be ingrained in Singaporeans and how cleanliness in housing estates and public toilets can be improved.
