01:27 Min

A recent survey of workers aged above 50 revealed that while most wanted to work for longer, a majority were concerned about age discrimination. Senior Parliamentary Secretary Rahayu Mahzam cited this in the House on Monday (Mar 4). She asked about the Ministry of Manpower’s latest plans to continue building a conducive environment for seniors to participate in the workforce. She suggested tapping the practices of “more enlightened employers” as well as the voices of advocates who care about the plight of older workers.
