Committee of Supply 2024 debate, Day 4: Yeo Wan Ling on support for caregivers
MP Yeo Wan Ling said more must be done to support women workers to stay or return to the workforce, given that women traditionally take on the brunt of caregiving duties at home. In Parliament on Monday (Mar 4), she asked if there can be provision for more caregiving leave to support workers in an ageing Singapore. She also asked if coverage for existing leave policies can be extended to a wider range of family members requiring care.
