MP Lim Biow Chuan said he was “pleading” with the authorities to get tough on pigeon feeders who are holding other residents “hostage” with their irresponsible actions. The law on feeding pigeons is clear, he said - it is illegal and pigeon faeces is a health hazard. Mr Lim asked for culprits to be fined, jailed or sent for mental health treatment if they are found to have compulsive behaviour. He spoke in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 5).
