Committee of Supply 2024 debate, Day 5: Poh Li San on zero-growth vehicle policy
A zero-growth rate policy for cars and motorcycles may not correlate directly with vehicle usage and road traffic conditions, said MP Poh Li San in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 5). She asked if there has been a decline in private vehicle usage since the policy was implemented in 2018 and whether it will be extended beyond January next year. She also asked about the take-up of electric vehicles (EVs) and whether the Government will introduce more incentives to encourage EVs for commercial use.
