MP Darryl David said Singapore is a multiracial, multi-cultural country and there are several neighbourhoods that reflect this and take pride in their unique identity. In Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 6), he gave the examples of Tiong Bahru, Chinatown and Little India to name a few. He asked if the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth will share its plans on creating opportunities to enliven these and other neighbourhoods. He also asked if the ministry can provide an update on efforts to ensure diverse art spaces that serve as touchpoints for both the public and artists.
