Committee of Supply 2024 debate, Day 6: Keith Chua on whole-of-society involvement in social services
It is encouraging that Singapore society is increasingly engaged in support of the social service sector, said NMP Keith Chua in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 6). He said this can be seen in volunteering, sharing of expertise and skills, and in philanthropic initiatives. It is seen also across individuals in all age groups as well as large businesses alongside smaller and medium industries. Mr Chua asked what will be done to deepen this engagement and how best to spread information on the areas with the most immediate needs.
