Committee of Supply 2024 debate, Day 6: Mohd Fahmi Aliman on support for professional development of workers and growth of M3

Findings from a recent study by Yayasan MENDAKI on employability within the Malay-Muslim community presented an opportune moment to recalibrate the approach towards lifelong learning initiatives and career development support within the community. How does the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) intend to leverage the insights to facilitate targeted interventions and support mechanisms, ensuring that individuals have the requisite skills and opportunities to thrive in an increasingly dynamic economy? MP Mohd Fahmi Aliman raised this issue in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 6). He added that the M3 framework - a collaborative effort between key community institutions MUIS, MENDAKI and MESRA - has played an important role in fostering unity and collective action within the Malay-Muslim community, serving as a catalyst for meaningful contributions from professionals, community leaders and volunteers. He asked MCCY to provide insights into some notable initiatives and collaborative ventures undertaken through the M3 framework, particularly the successful partnerships with community stakeholders and volunteers.
