Committee of Supply 2024 debate, Day 6: Ng Ling Ling on building a family-friendly Singapore
As Singapore works towards fostering a family-friendly nation, it is important to leverage a whole-of-society approach to nurture and strengthen its family support systems, said MP Ng Ling Ling in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 6). Highlighting that Singapore needs to be inclusive of different family structures such as single-parent families, blended families and families with special needs, she wanted to know how the Ministry of Social and Family Development will tailor the Families for Life initiative to also cater for the unique challenges of these different family structures.
