Sports can unite Singaporeans in various ways, said MP Xie Yao Quan in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 6). He asked about plans to upgrade sports facilities and build new ones to enable more people to get active. He also wanted to know about efforts to attract more major sporting events to Singapore to add vibrancy to the local sports scene. Mr Xie also asked how more people can be encouraged to donate to the One Team Singapore Fund, to strengthen the country’s high-performance sports system.
