Speaking in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 6), he asked about plans to build up the new Malay-Muslim community fund, Wakaf Masyarakat Singapura, and how much has been pledged so far. He also highlighted the huge growth potential in the halal industry. Mr Zhulkarnain asked what is being done to help Singapore companies take local halal-certified products overseas, and support locals to build expertise and skills in halal-related fields.
