00:59 Min

While Singapore generally remains a safe and harmonious place, maintaining racial and religious harmony requires ongoing work, said MP Vikram Nair in parliament on Monday (Mar 3). He noted that self-radicalised people continue to be arrested under the Internal Security Act - most recently, the first arrest was for far-right extremism in Singapore. Mr Nair asked for the Ministry of Home Affairs’ assessment of the main threats to racial and religious relations in Singapore and what actions it plans to take in response.
