Committee of Supply 2025 debate, Day 4: Gan Thiam Poh on maritime sector productivity

Singapore’s maritime sector has been a key growth engine, providing many jobs and business opportunities, said MP Gan Thiam Poh. It needs to continuously improve its standards and services by tapping on new technologies, he said in parliament on Wednesday (Mar 5). He wanted to know how the Ministry of Transport will develop the sector’s workforce and support the adoption of new technologies to increase productivity.
