Committee of Supply 2025 debate, Day 4: Neil Parekh Nimil Rajnikant on electric vehicle adoption rates and decarbonising heavy vehicles

There is greater awareness among Singaporeans about electric vehicles (EVs), said NMP Neil Parekh Nimil Rajnikant. Speaking in parliament on Wednesday (Mar 5), he asked for an update on the rate and pace of adoption of EVs. He also stressed the need for the government to take a proactive stance in implementing measures to decarbonise heavy vehicles. He wanted to know if it would consider more incentives for industries to adopt green technologies.
