Committee of Supply 2025 debate, Day 6: Louis Ng on covering sexual orientations and gender identities on TAFEP website and legislating parent care leave

In parliament on Friday (Mar 7), MP Louis Ng called for the the Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP) website to explicitly state that discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity is covered under the Tripartite Guidelines on Fair Employment Practices, along with the other characteristics that TAFEP already lists on its website, including age, race, gender, religion, marital status and family responsibility. In his speech, Mr Ng also called for parent care leave to be legislated just like how childcare leave is provided and mandated.
