Committee of Supply 2025 debate, Day 7: Henry Kwek on Singapore's cultural heritage

What can be done to sustain interest in and deepen appreciation for Singapore's cultural heritage especially among the younger generation, asked MP Henry Kwek in parliament on Monday (Mar 10). He also said it is critical to find ways to safeguard heritage businesses as they play a role in shaping the country's national identity. He asked if there are plans to recognise and support heritage businesses to ensure they remain a meaningful part of Singapore's cultural and economic landscapes for years to come.
