Just as the government speaks about transformation across the Singapore economy, it is also equally important to understand transformation within the Public Service, said NMP Sanjeev Kumar Tiwari in parliament on Thursday (Feb 26). On the GRIT@Gov programme, he wanted to know how awareness, matching and role clarity can be better strengthened so that suitable candidates are able to see it not just as a traineeship, but as a credible entry pathway into long-term Public Service careers. He also wanted to know how the government will apply the principles of the Workplace Fairness Act within the Public Service to promote fair and timely handling of workplace grievances.
