Singapore’s threat environment is more complex than it has ever been, with the pace of change accelerating and hostile actors quick to exploit new technologies. MP Vikram Nair made these observations in parliament on Friday (Feb 27). He noted that it is important that Singapore anticipates threats early and invests in capabilities early on. Highlighting four areas which feature heavily in Singapore’s domestic threat landscape - terrorism, cyber attacks, drugs and scams - he said he looked forward to hearing the Ministry of Home Affairs’ plans on these fronts.
