01:18 Min

If Singapore’s education system does not evolve, there will be a growing mismatch in graduate skills, job expectations, experiences and evolving market needs, said MP Ng Chee Meng. The education system, especially the Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), must become more agile and proactive in anticipating future skills demands, especially in this AI disrupted age, he said. Speaking in parliament on Monday (Mar 2), he wanted to know how the Ministry of Education would ensure the IHLs refresh their curriculum and pedagogies for students to be ready for the job market.
