Measure economic value beyond Singapore's borders by tracking the value created globally by the country and Singaporeans overseas. Encourage Singaporean firms to hunt as a pack overseas; a good place to start is the Johor-Singapore Economic Zone (JS-SEZ). Create good jobs overseas for Singaporeans. These are among the shifts that Singapore needs to make to change the way it looks at growing the economy, said MP Victor Lye. Speaking in parliament on Monday (Mar 2), he wanted to know how the government would help to drive Singapore’s position as a trusted gateway to JS-SEZ. He also suggested curating overseas job placements for Singaporeans from entry to senior roles.
